Subject
In its
pursuit to enhance its services, the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation
is inviting the community members, licensees, and specialized professionals to
submit their suggestions on the Secondary Standards Dosimetry Laboratory's
Services (SSDL).
Calibration
is the measurement of the gap between a reference point as determined by SSDL
and the customer's instrument. This gap is called the calibration factor and it
is reported in the issued certificate.
Calibration
is essential to ensure that accurately known doses are delivered to patients
undergoing diagnosis and therapy, and that radiation measurement instruments
used throughout the UAE provide the expected degree of accuracy to support
radiation protection.
The secondary standards dosimetry laboratory's calibration services are accredited by the Emirates National Accreditation System (ENAS) and based on the ISO 17025 Standard on the General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. FANR's SSDL offers calibration and irradiation services to the users of radiation measurement instruments.
Aims
Enhance the SSDL lab services and achieve continuous improvement to FANR customers.
FANR is happy to
listen to your suggestions and answer your enquiries about the SSDL services,
and how to enhance them for continuous improvement. This could be submitted through filling the survey on FANR Website.
Outcome
To carefully study
and consider suggestions for implementation and to provide a better overall customer experience.
