    The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) is committed develop and improve digital services in a way that meet the requirements of community members through FANR's official portal "WASL".

    WASL is the platform to register, manage, follow up, track, and respond to all the enquiries, complaints, suggestions, and complements. It provides a dashboard for any user to track the cases submitted to FANR. Through the use of FANR WASL Portal, reporting and analysis can improve the whole service experience for the beneficiaries.

    The Federal Authority of Nuclear Regulation's public outreach program is an initiative aims to educate the public on FANR's roles and the responsibilities as nuclear regulatory body in the country which is to protect the public and the environment from the harmful effects of radiation and to ensure the exclusively peaceful use of nuclear energy.

    The public outreach sessions shed lights on FANR's vision, mission and core values as well as a presentation about radiation and nuclear energy role in producing the electric energy which aims to reduce the effects of carbon footprint.

    Subject

    In its pursuit to enhance its services, the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation is inviting the community members, licensees, and specialized professionals to submit their suggestions on the Secondary Standards Dosimetry Laboratory's Services (SSDL).

    Calibration is the measurement of the gap between a reference point as determined by SSDL and the customer's instrument. This gap is called the calibration factor and it is reported in the issued certificate.

    Calibration is essential to ensure that accurately known doses are delivered to patients undergoing diagnosis and therapy, and that radiation measurement instruments used throughout the UAE provide the expected degree of accuracy to support radiation protection.

    The secondary standards dosimetry laboratory's calibration services are accredited by the Emirates National Accreditation System (ENAS) and based on the ISO 17025 Standard on the General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. FANR's SSDL offers calibration and irradiation services to the users of radiation measurement instruments.

    Aims

    Enhance the SSDL lab services and achieve continuous improvement to FANR customers.
