As a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UAE has committed itself to various IAEA strategies on operational transparency, non-proliferation and safety.

FANR seeks IAEA technical assistance in the areas of safeguards, physical protection, safety and liability as well as in the assessment of potential technology options and appropriate managerial approaches.
