Our Corporate Philosophy
FANR was established in September 2009 as the regulator of the nuclear sector in the UAE pursuant to the Federal Law by Decree No (6) of 2009 Concerning the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy. FANR is proud to fulfil its mandate to protect the country's public, workers and the environment.

Our Board of Management
The FANR Board of Management is the decision-making body and its members are appointed pursuant to a resolution of the UAE Cabinet. The Board of Management sanctions and implements vital decisions that impact the overall performance of FANR. The membership of the Board of Management in 2020 was as follows:

Our Organisational Structure
The FANR organisational structure is designed to allow our mandate to be implemented and to ensure that the highest standards of nuclear and radiological safety, security and non-proliferation are achieved in the UAE.
FANR has two divisions: The operations division and the administration division. The Legal Affairs Department, Corporate Development Department and the Internal Audit Department fall under the FANR’s Director General Office.
