Application to the Temporary list of “UAE Qualified Experts in Radiation Protection"

​You must read the following guidelines carefully before completing and submitting your application.

The following requirements (A, B and C) are to be satisfied for any candidate wishing to be added to the Temporary List of "UAE Qualified Experts in Radiation Protection".

A. Educational Requirements and Work Experience
A Bachelor’s of Science (BSc) Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or other scientific subject with a significant proportion of courses in radiation physics and radiation protection) or equivalent, AND a minimum of eight years’ work experience in radiation protection of which there are at least three years’ direct work experience as "Qualified Expert" (or equivalent title).
OR
A Master’s of Science (MSc) Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or other scientific subject with a significant proportion of courses in radiation physics and radiation protection) or equivalent, AND a minimum of five years’ work experience in radiation protection of which there are at least three years’ direct work experience as "Qualified Expert" (or equivalent title).

 

 ​B. Certification/ Qualification Requirement
  1.  Certification as "Qualified Expert" (or the equivalent) from an official national recognition/qualification body
    OR
  2.  The previous formal appointment as Qualified Expert in Radiation Protection by an employer

 

 C. Nationality/ Residence Requirement
Either an Emirati or a non-Emirati with a valid UAE residence visa

Any candidate who does not formally fulfil the criteria should provide evidence as to why their candidature should be taken into consideration.

Please note that being listed in the Temporary List of "UAE Qualified Experts in Radiation Protection" does not automatically imply that the applicant will be appointed to that position by his or her employer.

You can only submit one application.

There are some personal data you must provide in the application form and some documents to be uploaded.

There are mandatory fields that you must complete before the application can be submitted.

Upon the submission of the application, an application Reference Number will be automatically generated and an acknowledgement email confirming the submission of your application will be automatically sent to your email address.

You will not be able to amend an application once it has been submitted. If you need to make any changes to it, please email your request quoting the application reference number to FANR at QE-RPO@fanr.gov.ae.

If you have submitted an application and no longer wish to be considered, please notify FANR by email at QE-RPO@fanr.gov.ae.

All documents to be submitted should follow these guidelines:

  • Documents must be in PDF format with a maximum file size of 10 MBytes .
  • Photographs must be in (JPG/JPEG/PNG/GIF/BMP) format with a maximum file size of 10 Mbytes.
  • Multiple documents must be compressed in .ZIP or in .RAR format (with a maximum file size of 10 Mbytes).

The application will be reviewed by the UAE "Radiation Protection Committee in the State", and if any further information is required, the Committee will contact you.

Please note that the result of the Committee’s assessment is based on an objective review of the Candidate’s anonymized application.

Documents required from all Applicants
1 A letter explaining how you fulfil the criteria , OR if you do not fulfil the criteria, why you believe that your candidature should be taken into consideration.
2Scanned copies of your valid passport and visa for non-Emiratis. (one single .pdf file or multiple files compressed into a single .ZIP or .RAR file)
3A scanned copy of the MSc Degree/ BSc Degree (as applicable) in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology OR in another scientific subject (in both cases, please include a statement indicating the courses in radiation physics or radiation protection).
The document should be either in Arabic or in English: please upload a translated document, if needed.
4A recent CV showing that you possess eight years’ work experience in radiation protection (for a BSc Degree) OR five years’ work experience in radiation protection (for a MSc Degree) of which three years’ minimum are as a "Qualified Expert" (or the equivalent title).
5Work experience letters by the employer detailing the direct experience in radiation protection.
6A copy of the certification of the official national recognition/ qualification body as "Qualified Expert" (or the equivalent title, with further explanation), if applicable.
The document should be either in Arabic or in English: please upload a translated document, if needed.
7Any additional optional documents that you consider appropriate to provide.(multiple files must be compressed into a single .ZIP or .RAR file)
